Love the explanation of all the ingredients at the end of each volume.
It's always fun to read.
In this volume, Cor has a map that her father made sure to get into her hands. She will become a mapmaker now and again she must help the makers, all the families including the royal one.  The villain has not been defeated and has an evil plan. He wants to destroy magic. It's time to put aside the family grudges and unite to fight a common enemy for the sake of saving magic. Cor is more than she thinks. She can achieve great things. And sometimes breaking the rules does bring change when done right.
I binged volumes 1 and 2 as audiobooks. It was awesome.
