I still can’t give this book 4 stars but it’s definitely the best in the installment so far and Eustice I hope will be even more developed in The Silver Chair. I’m shocked Aslan has told Lucy and Edmund now that they are too old to return! Considering I’ve heard the last battle is similar to revelations I’m going to guess that Narnia and the real world may collide somehow or maybe there’ll be an emergency to call them back… I’m just not sure. And Aslan’s country introduction has me fearing the children will end up there at the end of The Last Battle… I loved Lucy praying in the dark land and it leading to the light out.

solid children’s book. didn’t quite live up to my image of the movie, however pretty relaxing. the pace of all of the different islands and all kinds threw me though.

Aside from the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, this is by far my favorite of the Narnia books. And I hate to beat a dead horse, but in what world does it make sense for this to be the 5th book in the series? Especially since the first 3 books were originally going to be the only 3 books? Honestly.
I love the adventure, I love the different islands they visit, I love the characters, and I love the ending with Caspian, Reepicheep, and Aslan. Even though I like the other books in the series, I would have been happy to have this be the end.

2.5 Filler book. Adventurous and fast paced, but without a real plot in its own or for the series in general. At this point I love Edmund so very much, so that keeps me reading. And Aslan, always Aslan. In my opinion it is not as imaginative but related as the first book but Narnia has that light feeling that calms me down.

Otra vez me voy a Narnia. Pero en esta ocasión debo admitir que no me impresiono mucho la historia que cuentan. En primera, Edmund y Lucy van sin una razón verdadera y en segunda la razón de ser del libro en si se pierde durante el camino o no se profundiza lo suficiente y se le resta importancia.
El libro es una sucesión de aventuras y peligros que los personajes resuelven en el mismo capítulo y raras veces es necesario volver a pensar en ellas, lo cual le da a La travesía del Viajero del Alba una sensación sosa o de relleno que no me pude quitar de la cabeza mientras lo leía.
El cambio de actitud de Eustace, no es profundo ni tiene peso durante la historia como lo tuvo el de Edmund en el primer volumen y al igual que cualquier otro acontecimiento importante del libro, pierde atención, sentido e importancia ante el lector.
En resumen, es un libro entretenido que se lee rápido y no aburre pero que tampoco tiene tanta trascendencia y lamentablemente eso hizo que le bajara tanto la puntuación. De verdad me decepciono mucho esta continuación y espero las demás sean mejor porque si planeo terminar la saga.

- Os lo diré tantas veces como haga falta –respondió el-. Pero no os diré lo largo o corto que será.
