If this Words+Music Audiobook (an Audible Original) was put into print I think it would be considered a memoir-novella (is that a thing?!) I thoroughly enjoyed this - Alanis is a pleasure to listen to, and I loved how natural it felt hearing her speak. It was like she was in the room, and I almost expected her to start asking me questions. It was really cool learning the backstories to certain songs, throughout varying parts of her career. Also, the musical performances included were AH-MAH-ZING!!!! I will definitely go back just to listen to the songs again!

Audible has many of these mini memoir-esque programs by the artist incorporating their music into the storyline of their own life. Some are better than others. All leave me feeling kind of “meh.” It’s a fast listen and I get to hear snippets of songs I like. Do I finish knowing more about the artist? Not so much.

Not really what I was expecting.
It was ok, but I guess I just assumed it would be a little more structured, this was really just a one sided interview.
