I wasn’t sure what to expect when Amy
Daws dropped the bomb in Replay that there was another Harris brother out there! A secret one that no one knew about. It was going to be a rollercoaster ride from the jump. And it was. In all the best ways.
Zander Williams is an American soccer player coming over to play Sweeper for Bethel Green and he’s holding onto a lot of secrets and emotions he doesn’t know how to deal with. He immediately meets Daphney Clarke and the sparks fly!
You are gonna love this book! It’s packed with everything you love from a Daws book. Love laughs and lots of emotions! It was so easy to fall in love with Zander. He’s a little bit cocky a little bit vulnerable and a lot sexy.
I don’t want to spoil any of the big parts of the book but I will say it was all handled even better then i could of hoped. Well done Amy.
I loved the relationship between Zander and his fellow Americans Link and Knight. And the connection with Booker. It’s all so good!
I highly recommend this as I do with all Harris family books

Holy wet tshirt contest, Batman. Can I do things with that nipple?
*coughs* I mean, wow, what a great cover haha
I am now obsessed with two football series - Ted Lasso (can I get an amen to Roy Kent) and The Harris Brothers series
I mean, I have been obsessed with the Harris brothers for a long time already, but I can never get enough,
At the end of the last book, Replay, we got a hint of things to come, and Ms Daws has not disappointed us.
Following Zander from one life changing revelation to the next, I couldn't help but adore him. Watching him repeatedly crash and burn when it came to romancing the lovely Daphney, I laughed, I cried, I smiled and sniggered like a 12 year old.
It was a pleasure watching them both open their arms - and their hearts - as their pasts were still defining their present.
There was this thing throughout the whole story, and I was waiting for the shoe to drop. It was pretty unbelievable that it took as long as it did to reveal itself, and I was always telling myself that this was the page that all will reveal, only for... nope.
There was a little bit of drama, but nothing OTT and it was pretty realistic really.
It was great that I got got more of My Hayden (sigh) and I felt that Zander was a great fit in to the Harris family.

*** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW***
A surprise Harris Brother!!! This book was entertaining, angsty, and funny. I loved every minute of it. I haven’t read the Harris Brothers series, so this was my first intro to that world. Amy Daws is a favorite to read, her story are always funny, have great characters, and have loads of witty and snarky banter that helped build the tension between the main characters. Zander and Daphne were an instant enemies to lovers kind of love. They both have personal issues they need to deal with, but decide the friends with benefits arrangement is best for them, until they start to catch feelings and they personal issues get in the way of their HEA.
The narration for Sweepr was incredible! It was duet style by Teddy Hamilton and Faye Adele with performances by Will Watt and Stella Hunter. They are did a fabulous job bring Zander and Daphne’s story to life. I really enjoyed they audiobook from start to finish and loved all the different voices from Teddy, Faye, Will and Stella. They are had great chemistry. I definitely have to go back to listen to the rest of the Harris Brothers books.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I was very keen to see where this book would go - if you’re a fan of the Harris Brothers and their world and have read all of the previous books, you will know why!
At first I wasn’t too sure what I thought about Zander. He seemed like such a cocky and arrogant American. Took me a little to warm up to him. I immediately liked Daphney and I thought their interactions were interesting.
I really liked getting to see these two get to know each other and see where things would end up going with them, however I have a huge frustration that one of the main really big issues in this book took way too long in my opinion to be discussed properly. There were little hints here and there but they weren’t addressed properly to me. I thought given certain comments/descriptions in the book, that it would’ve been easier/more obvious really early on. I felt there needed to be more balance between the two big things going on this book. This is the main thing that let it down a bit for me.
I really liked seeing all the Harris family of course, and I loved that we got heaps more of my fave Baby Booker. Gah! This is such a great world and it’s always fun to come back to and see what’s next for the gang and all their friends.
The last part of this book really was the most enjoyable for me - there were some emotional parts and just some really lovely things happening at the end that helped round things out. Lots of great character development and I do love Zander and Daphney together. Definitely sped through this one and recommend if you’re a fan of this world.

Loved this story of the secret Harris brother that was teased at the end of Santino and Tilly's HEA. All the Harrises, their spouses, Mac and Freya, Roan and Allie, and Santino and Tilly make appearances here (the latter get married) and we get to see all of them with their kids and being their Harris selves which I loved.
Zander has a couple of American teammates who join the team the same time he did and they strike up their own little bromance which makes me think that they will eventually get their books because their camraderie is great.
Z and Daphney's meet-cute was fun and I loved how she kept him on his toes, wondering if she was actually into him, and my favorite was after they have sex the first time and how he confides in Link and Knight that he thinks she thinks he's bad at sex and they try to give him advice. There are lots of funny moments here which is to be expected with Amy Daws. This was another winner.

Who doesn't love a surprise love child? The addition of Zander was really fun, and I loved that we had another main character with a different culture/background! Zander's story really is one of the ones that delivers on that spice, but also pulls at your heartstrings and gets you invested!
His besties? Iconic, we need more of them!
Plus, who doesn't love a neighbours-turned-fwb-turned-lovers story?

Loved this book. It was my first British/ football book and I loved the way the characters were venerable with each other. I loved how this book didn’t move too fast where it would be unrealistic.
4.25/5⭐ *One of Daws' best yet*
