I liked this book because I could relate to Zander, we have similar “family” situations and the emotions he felt were similar to my own. I enjoyed the writing and the banter between the two mains.

Sweeper is a welcome addition to the Harris Brothers. There is comedy, great banter, great friends and then very touching and absorbing delving into family and loss. Learning to love and trust after feeling betrayed by someone you love is a theme for both Daphney and Zander, and their learning together and from each other is so well done.

The narration was top notch by all four narrators, but especially Teddy Hamilton and Faye Adele. So good.

I fully enjoyed Sweeper. It’s a keeper.

Amy Daws has done it again. She always manages to write books that are sweet and sexy. I read it until I had to sleep last night and then woke up at 5:30 to finish it before work!

We return to Bethnal Green with Sweeper, the latest in the Harris Brothers series. We meet Zander Williams, an American soccer player who has been recruited to the Bethnal football club. He's recently lost his father in a tragic accident and is grieving, along with dealing with his mother's grief and not handling it well. I like that the book touches on his grief over time (it's been a year) and how grief hits us at weird, unexpected times.

Zander meets Daphney and there is some instant friction. She very obviously doesn't like him, while he is just completely intrigued by her. She is the sister of Hayden (Vi's husband, from the London Lovers and Strength books). Of course, yet another tie to the Harris family. There is a sweet romance between Z and D and I really enjoyed reading their story.

I don't think it can be said enough, I love these stories because we get to care about new people in this world BUT ALSO we get to see our old favorites again. It's nice to check in on Tilly and Freya and Gareth and Booker. I love seeing them again. A great book, a very enjoyable story along the same lines as the others in the series.

I waffled on what to rate this. I liked it a lot but the tension was so high.

This book easily could’ve been about 100 pages shorter. The second half dragged so hard.
