French Silk by Sandra Brown
Claire grew up poor and removed from her mothers house. She now with a friend runs a lingerie shop in New Orleans and does
even better with a mail order catalog. There is a stumbling block-the minister, Jackson Wilde who thinks her work is porn and tries to get her shut down.
When he is found dead from his wife, who had spent the previous night with the stepson going over their music, she is accused of his murder as her business name is on the minister's hit list of places to shut down.
There are very fiery hot steamy sex scenes that go along with the story line and as you discover other clues to help solve this murder.
Cassidy is the detective in charge and he's falling for her. Just when you think you know the outcome things change and you think it possibly can't be who it is!

"Arousal curled around his sex like tendrils of mist off a bayou, taunting and teasing and, to his greater frustration, causing quite a reaction." Ick. The last time that I take a patron's book recommendation? Will I make it through?

UPDATE! I did it! I made it through! The patron convinced me that I wouldn't see the twists and turns coming and guess the killer and she was right. At least about the killer part. My last Sandra Brown, though, I'd say.

This is Sandra Brown, whom I love...he can do no wrong, with that said I don't think this book was that awesome. Maybe it was because I didn't really like Cassidy as much as I liked her other male leads. I was also infuriated with Claire most of the time but their attraction was believable. The mystery got a little predictable at some point but the ending was rather unexpected. Still it was a good book and I don't regret reading it.

This was the first Sandra Brown book that I've read. Perhaps I should have started with another book of hers because this one was jus so so for me. I gave it 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4 because it was a quick read. Overall the story was okay, though I appreciated how easy it was to follow. I might recommend this one to others if they were looking for a love interest meets murder book. I look forward to reading more Sandra Brown in the future to get a better idea of her work overall.

Bacanya kapan, reviunya kapan (2)

And it works!

Salute buat Sandra Brown sekali lagi!

I'll give 4.2 for this book!

An enjoyable way to spend a few hours. A typical romance, beach read. I must admit I have no patience for Claire - seriously how can you fall for someone who doesn't believe a word you say and believes you capable of horrific things! Move on Claire!
