The passages about dementia and grief were especially touching. I think this is Osmond’s most poignant book in the series.

Officially my favorite series of books!! Perfect combo of mystery, fun, wit, and heart. I want to be Joyce when I grow up.

These keep getting better and better! This was my favorite so far!

By now we know how much I love this group of sleuths. With every installment, Osman writes our core four in ways that make them just that much more believable (despite the fact that they are involved in far too many murders and other crimes). In this fourth novel, Elizabeth sheds some of her austerity as she is forced to accept life’s and her own limitations, and as someone who has built a career and personality on being resourceful and resolute, Elizabeth’s acceptance of said confines is huge. While Elizabeth spends much of this novel preoccupied or indisposed, Joyce steps in and steps up. Ron is becoming a wee bit more sensitive to his and others’ needs, and I am excited about the few breadcrumbs Osman has scattered regarding Ibrahim’s past and inner workings.

Anyways, the major crime in The Last Devil to Die involves a friend we have met previously. Yes, we’ve got murder but now also drug and antique smuggling. Oh, where will we venture next🤗
