I love this series and all the characters, such easy reads and well written. This wasn’t my favourite in the series but I still enjoyed it.

After trending up with the first three books in the series, each one better than the one before, this fourth installment took a steep downturn for me. Partially due to some disappointing content (I read the end notes, I know why the author went there but that doesn’t mean I have to like it) but also Joyce becoming more like Elizabeth may make sense for her character growth arc but makes for less entertaining moments for the reader.

I have absolutely loved this series. I love each character for different reasons, Richard Osman describes them brilliantly and makes you love them through his writing.

Even the 'bad' characters are hard not to love.

I have loved following the Thursday Murder Club gang through the last 4 books and I was very happy to find out the other day that there is a 5th book coming in September.

I love that this series has not only shared each main character individually and how they are dealing with the situations they find themselves in but also how they interact with one another and as a group investiging the murders that have happened.

Not only are there absolutely hilarious moments in this book, there are also very difficult topics of health that are handled by Richard Osman with sensitivity to the reader and character.
