I enjoy the subtle, British humor in these books but find them a little long winded and boring at times. A cozy, lighthearted murder mystery series i consider worth listening to. However:

Steve's assisted suicide was absolutely heart wrenching. Dementia/alzheimers is one of my biggest fears and assisted suicide is something I consider if i find myself in that situation. This whole storyline took me by suprise since the series hasn't ever been so serious and solemn before. Hearing Elizabeth's account just hit me in the feels.

This was very good and a little crushing.
It feels like a temporary end to the series, but also it's open enough to continue if Richard wants to have it continue.
The twist was something I figured out fairly early on, but which was ignored enough to make me doubt my instincts.
I liked it a lot. I think the core characters are great and only getting better.
I hope there are more, but I'd also be interested in reading what other styles Richard Osman could write.

This has definitely been the best yet in the series. It was entertaining but also moving (I did have a little cry halfway through!)
