Awesome. I love Fables. This one is a furthering of the potential war between Fabletown and the Adversary - Gepetto and the other ringleaders in the Empire begin to lay out a plan of attack on Fabletown and the Mundy world, including sending an "Ambassador" to Fabletown to try to spy on them. In the meantime, we also get to see the newly reunited complete Wolf family, which is fun. Yay! Read Fables, it's a lot of fun :)

This one was interesting! I liked the back and forth between Fabletown and the Empire. Also really enjoyed Bigby visiting his dad Mr. North. Moving on to the next volume!

Not bad but there seemed to be a lot of filler content again.

I liked seeing things from the other side. I liked getting some kind of larger forward-looking view and it'll be interesting to see how things actually do play out in the end. I liked the introduction of Hansel, and how he was developed (made sense, and reminded me a bit of the recent Hansel & Gretel film!). I also liked the little vignettes on some of the other Fabletown members, I hope some of them will be developed further. The 'burning questions' issue that this volume ends on is a bit pants, however. A couple of them are almost interesting, but they really don't add anything (or answer anything) to the main plot lines. There are several actual questions that haven't been answered yet, that I hope do get followed up in future stories and aren't just forgotten about.

Excellent continuation of the series. Well written look at how Fabeltown would fight back if the Emperor invaded the Mundys world.

March 2024: This is at least the second or third time I've read this, and it's excellent! It's a nice breather between tense, action-packed storylines, and I so enjoyed seeing our characters get a bit of a break from the recent turmoil. I love the cubs, and I adore seeing Bigby get to be a dad. He is such a natural.
