It was a very sweet high school coming of age type book. Very minimal romance aside from some PG kisses.

I loved Rory’s character and my heart absolutely broke for her and her weights struggles. The way her mother treated her was absurd and filled me with rage. Even after she tried to justify herself, I was still so upset with her!

I loved the curvy girls club! The little support system that Rory had found was so good for her self-esteem! Each girl brought something valuable to the table.

Beckett’s character was so darn perfect. I loved him the entire read. I just wished there was a little more to the drama aspect of things and more exploration into Beckett’s POV and his feelings for Rory.

It was really good, wish we could get a sequel. The Curvy Girls Can’t series could be a great series on Netflix following the kissing booth and all the boys I’ve loved series.

It wasn't for me

This was so juvenile and outlandish that it hurt me to finish it. And I expect some level of juvenile given it is a YA, but the writing and plot was so predictable and immature. Just smh.

I read this in one night!

I cried throughout the whole book. My younger self resonated with the emotions of the FMC. While I’m older than a high school, I still gave some of these grievances. It’s hard to read from a POV of someone other than yourself, but going through the same issues had hit home for me. I read it all in one night so I can see someone have their happily ever after.

I liked it, fluff read for sure, but it's perfect for me! I almost enjoyed the friendship between the girls than the romance!

My rate is 4/5:
As a PCOS plus sized woman I of course love the representation and people being more open and aware of us. This book was very cutesy, teenish and I like that. It’s not my usual read but it was good nonetheless. Thank you Kelsie!

Reading a book about a young girl going through struggles with a reproductive disorder gave me so much hope. While I think her mom is a bit overboard for being a health teacher, I enjoyed the dynamic of them overcoming struggles. But, the romance between Rory and Beckett was so sweet and cheesy. Watching her help her learn what she’s good at or how to love herself was really sweet. Also, the curvy girls club and their friendship.. Watching that happen was such a high school thing and it was written so well. I enjoyed seeing Rory’s journey finding friends, herself, and a relationship with a great guy. Then when losing it, how to get it back and how to deal with the fallout. It’s been such a fun, sweet read and I loved every second of it. There were so many relationship moments that warmed my heart and learned how to deal with things. I highly recommend this sweet novel!

This was a really cute YA book and a good opener to the series! I thought the love interest, Beckett, was adorable and I really enjoyed the developing friendship element of friendship between the girls.
