Curvy Girls Can't Date Quaterbacks is OK read. Maybe because it is YA romance, so I got bored a bit in the middle. Miss Stelting putting good moral messages but lack of drama to keep the story interesting.
What I do not like is how immature the characters were. The secondary characters do not support the plot significantly.
Overall this is OK read. Not too exciting nor too bad either.

Amazing cute romance
I’m usually not a romance reader, but I came across this book this morning and decided to give it a go. I am so happy I did. I absolutely loved the characters and the blossoming romance between the characters. Being a curvy girl myself it can be hard to relate to the cookie cutter female MCs that most romance books have that have perfect bodies and perfect lives and never show the real life meaning of beauty. This book had everything I could hope for in a romance. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series and I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys romance, HEA, and knowing that size doesn’t equal beauty

Includes the bet to love troupe. Maybe it was because I listened to the audiobook and didn’t really love the reader but I felt like it dragged in some areas. I liked the relationship development with Beckett and Rory, and even Rory’s relationships with the other girls, but for a story that seemed to drag so much in the beginning and middle, the ending felt rushed by comparison. While Rory’s mom was supposed to redeem herself by the end, I still hated her and I didn’t feel like there was a great resolution with Merritt.
Graphic: Bullying, Fatphobia
Omg I so needed this book when I was in high school but it still hit home at 30 years old
I thought I would hate this book, whilst I always want plus size fmc's it always includes hardcore fatphobia so I was anticipating it and scared but was pleasntly surprised. Really emotional reading Rory's pov and what she though of herself because i can relate especially on the PCOS front (Hey cyster ;)) also hadn't read the bet plot since like college so twas a trip down memory lane. MAybe sad for enjoying it as a plot device you know thinking the only way someone will ever like me is after being forced to play a bit but in the end seeing past the outside and liking me despite my looks?... ouch...
Anyway Beckett is amazing, love Rory's growth. A+++ to the curvy Girls club and FUCK MERRITT. Still on the fence about Rory's mum...

Rory is reeling a bit from a PCOS diagnosis and her mother's unfair treatment of her when she clashes with the school mean girl and next thing she knows she's made a bet. She can get the school's ultra-popular quarterback, Beckett, to ask her to Homecoming, because fat girls can get dates too.
This ultimately didn't work for me, and I don't think it's just because I'm an adult reading YA. First, Rory's mom treatment of her is OUTRAGEOUS. She's a health teacher, yet she doesn't realize that teens sometimes have irregular periods and makes her daughter, who she has never even seen with a boy, take a pregnancy test? Not to mention all of the other things she says and does throughout the book. There's a tiny bit of redemption by the end, but frankly it's not nearly enough. I also didn't like how the other girls just disappeared after she eats lunch with Beckett ONE TIME. Especially when Rory didn't do anything wrong. And finally, the reunion at the end was very abrupt. I would have liked to hear more from Beckett.
I liked the actual romance and the characters of Rory and Beckett, but the rest of it bothered me.
