Mixed feelings. The story felt very low stakes and there were times where the prose was very unclear. I also didn't feel particularly invested in the characters for the most part, but it felt very much like the middle of a series and I wonder if having read the preceding ones would have changed that.

That being said, there were many elements I enjoyed, including almost every action taken by Pommes Frittes. It made me chuckle fairly often, and it was very charming. I'd be hard pressed to recommend it out of the blue, but if something about it has caught your eye, it's worth a look, and I imagine a very enjoyable entry if you're already a fan of the series.
