Meh, I was really let down. It rehashed the first book too long and kind of went nowhere for me. I think Beartown was just. So. Good. It could not compare.

This book and this series never gets old to me. They are my favorite characters. I still laugh, gasp, shake my head, and cry. The audiobook is absolutely fantastic and I’m so glad I’m giving myself this gift of re-reading through audio. Fredrick Backman builds such an incredible world within Beartown that I get chills listening. Benji remains my favorite character - though Maya and Kira are a close second/third. What can I say about this one novel that hasn’t already been said? It’s beautiful and heartbreaking and hopeful and wonderful and sad. It’s life.

Björnstad var tung men den här boken var tyngre. Det var en hel katapult som svingades rakt mot ditt hjärta utan några som helst skydd.

Det är sällan man hittar en bok som får en att känna ALLA känslorna. Jag är gråtit, suckat, skrattat och dansat.

Men kanske framför allt har jag älskat! Karaktärerna, berättelsen och språket.

Men mest Benji, framför allt Benji!
