Oh man, that was long. But I liked it! It might be my favourite group of Shadowhunters yet? We'll see. I'm not sure where Clare is gonna take this series so it'll be interesting to see where book two takes me!

This story takes places years after the war with Valentine Morgenstern and deals with some of the aftermath of that.

It seems our main protagonist Emma's all encompassing focus is on finding her parent's murderer. This book is full of secrets and lies, all in the name of protecting those they love.

I really enjoyed this book and being introduced to some new characters in the shadowhunter world. I just love Cassandra Clare's style in writing; her mix of character development, mystery, magic and dark intent.

I can't wait to dive into Lord of Shadows.
