I loved this book! It was so nostalgic to someone who hasn’t read any of Cassandra Clare’s books lately. It was exciting and fresh and a joy to read. And that ending! Even the short story at the end was amazing!

Perfect. Absolutely perfect on every level. It was funny, it was beautiful, it was violent, it was heartbreaking, and it was much darker than anything Clare has written before. And I LOVED it.
The only thing I have to say is that if you have not read both TMI and TID series, then you will not understand what's going on in this book. Not only does it require you to be familiar with the Shadowhunter universe, but it also brings back old characters and makes references that you won't understand if you haven't read those 9 books. So do it!!!!
But yes, if you have read those, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this. It is so beautifully dark and depressing and I cried my eyes out but it was worth it. I'm obsessed. I would sell my soul to Cassandra Clare at this point, her writing is so perfect.

I just finished this book and need a some time to recover before I can write a proper review. Just know this book was amazing, yet it put me on a crazy emotional roller coaster that tore my heart into tiny little pieces.

Ohkay I think this is soooo much better than The Mortal Instruments series I mean yeah you can’t replace Jace with anyone else but oh well. . .I love all the characters in here I mean even church yes! Because they are a really interesting mix of characters than Lightwoods in TMI.
So about Julian, he’s the father figure to all of his siblings and he really surprised me with his ruthlessness, his capability and determination to do anything for his family. But I can’t say I like Emma more than clary because I love Clary and no one can replace her but I obviously shipped Emma and Julian but i can’t say any further because of the spoilers.
