I’m going to try and keep this spoiler free but if you’re reading or on to read you might be able to draw conclusions from this review.

This story packs a lot into a novella. We start out not knowing the identity of the killer to seeing an attack, a trial and the aftermath of said trial.
The antagonist of this story is retched and horrible-which I suppose is the point of a serial killer novella. The trials aspect of this book is heavy on slut shaming which rubbed me the wrong way. However it’s used to defend the villain so the logic of using it makes sense but it irritating to read. The ending of the story feels very rushed compared to the beginning/middle but again with a novella it’s on par with what I expected. The tension was missing from the thriller as was any background on the villain other than their past crimes. Overall it feel very middle of the field for me, I wouldn’t say it was bad novella but it also wasn’t particularly enjoyable.
