Wow this was one of the best books I’ve read in so long. Finished in one day and can’t wait to read more by this author

I never had sisters, but this book made me wish I did.

I could see myself in each of the sisters at times. This book depicted the various ways people grieve and how it feels to be in that space, stuck in time while the world seems to move without you. The characters were tangible; they were people with flaws who make mistakes but also grow.

“But what they don’t know is this: As long as you are alive, it is never too late to be found.”

ੈ✩‧₊˚ I love books about sisters! Familial relationships are such an underrated topic for a book to be centred around.

I adored reading from all the sisters perspectives because they were all so unique. Unlike Cleopatra and Frankenstein by this author, these characters were likeable. Flawed? Yes. But likeable? Absolutely.

"They were not four, and they never would be again, but they were starting to find the symmetry in three."

ੈ✩‧₊˚ One thing I will say, which was an issue for me with Cleopatra and Frankenstein too, the authenticity of these characters is lost on me because you mean to tell me you have 3 sisters who do 3 different careers (boxer, model, lawyer) and are all top of their game... oh and then one of them becomes a singer.... Totally unbelievable but hey, it is fiction so it is what it is. But sometimes I can't help but roll my eyes.

I enjoyed this book and I like Coco Mellors' writing but at times I get the feeling it is pretty commercialised (which sounds weird) but in the sense that she almost knows it is going to be one for the titktok girlies etc. Its fine but sometimes the book feels like it is trying too hard to be what it wants to be rather than just being what it actually is.
