Really cute. I like the mystery and reverse harem.

I didn't see the twist coming for this book.

Great inbetween read and I will continue the series

Yes! I was so excited when this book was on my iPad this morning when I woke up. I was counting on it, so I would have been quite disappointed if it hadn't been the case, but still. After the previous 4 books and the Novella I was so eager to read on. Especially because our last read ended with quite a cliffhanger!

And the book totally absolutely didn't disappoint. It was everything I loved about the Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries and more! Maybe this mystery was even more exciting because it was really directly putting one of the guys in danger, the smartest one even, and therefore it not only became a race against time, but also a very emotional race because the stakes were quite high. And yet Holmes never lost herself in the mystery and that excitement.

She really managed to divide her attention between the four pillars of this series: The individual mystery of the book, the big arc that will end in the next book, the personal development of the characters and mostly Mina and of course the romance. Not once does it feel like one is being forgotten, neglected or sacrificed for the other. There is enough story and there are enough pages for everything to get its chance to shine.

The romance is at times heartbreaking and brought me to tears. Mina's development is amazing and watching her grow more confident with herself and her future is so beautiful. The big story arc is clearly coming closer and closer and becoming more and more dangerous and I love it. And this mystery is once more just as exciting as the previous ones. I love how Holmes constantly keeps us on the tips of our toes and yet always manages to surprise in the end, without the reveals coming out of nowhere.

Once more I've laughed. I've cried. I've shivered. And I most of all had the most amazing time one can have with a book. I finally have the perfect answer to the question: "What's your favorite book series ever?" It's so totally and completely this one!
