This story was nuts. Like, in a good way. I didnt see the ending coming and the accurate way of depicting schools hierarchy was great to read. I liked the style of writing it in a serious of interviews and notes, it made it harder to guess the outcome because there were less details.

This is exactly what I dislike about short stories—it’s like reading/listening to one chapter of a book without getting the whole story. Not enough time to distinguish one “prince” from another, or really, one “princess” from another either, except for how they died, but even that didn’t make each individual young woman more memorable . No details about how each princess was lured to her death, but the deaths certainly were creatively staged. And then
the horrible realization that the perpetrators will get away with it
. Ugh! One does wonder how the investigators were chosen, other than to add commentary about a high schooler never fitting in and suddenly (weirdly), given a second chance to be in the “in” group.

This was an entertaining short story. The full cast really brought it to life, it felt like a podcast story more than an audiobook, but that was good. It was told as a series of voice notes and interviews, all the "clips" put together did a really good job of telling the whole story, but it would be fun to hear the whole story from multiple perspectives.

This was an interesting take on a fairytale retelling. The narration was fantastic but the story was a bit farfetched. Horrible bosses meets into the woods.

I really liked this one in the Faraway Collections. I didn't like the first two and wasn't going to read anymore. I liked the cover and was curious about it. It was unique and interesting.

It's been too many years, was high school always this cut-throat?

Realistically, I'd give it 3.5 stars - it was good, but I wasn't expecting it would be in the format of transcripts. The twist where it wasn't one prince it was all of them was pretty obvious, although the aspect where they kill Rebecca for Callum was surprising. I didn't love how open ended it was and the premise was pretty messed up - although that can make for a good story.
