This was a quick novella and Chad Zunker did a great job of packing a lot of excitement into this short story. I was able to guess part of the ending, but I was surprised by part of it. 

Amara Jasper did a great job narrating this story.

I’m still not sure what to make of the collection overall — a lot of it left me confused. But the fifth story was different in a good way. It wasn’t a standout exactly, but it was interesting, and I genuinely couldn’t put it down. Something about the pacing or the mood pulled me along, even if I wasn’t totally sure what it all meant. It held my attention more than the others, and for that alone, it stood out a bit — if not in impact, then at least in how readable it was.
