This book had me wanting to know what happened next.
Kara thinking she is helping out a friend in need (Mindy) as they suspect Mindy husband Bill is having an affair. Kara finds someone sneaking into Mindy and Bill house, and decides to investigate. She finds Bill being shot by someone, but she doesn't know who.
Mindy had planned the whole thing, getting Oliver (the person she was having the affair with) to shoot Bill, and when Kara finds out she is now helpless as Oliver is pointing the gun towards her. Thankfully her husband Jackson noticed something was off about Oliver and decided to follow him.
A great short story, wish it was a bit longer as I loved Kara and Jackson relationship.
