I expected so much more from this book . Perhaps because the character synopsis were so good.
Unfortunately it was hard to get through :(

It's really disappointing that something this poorly-written was produced by a fellow Bennington alum. More detailed review forthcoming.

2.5 stars. This didn't read as wicked satire. At least not to me. Some parts were spot on and very true (and I didn't have to go to Bennington to get it) others were unpleasant and kind of pointless. Like the books characters.

Horrible characters and a story that is very weak. 1.5 rating.

I tried. I really did. 50 pages in after a week? I abandoned ship. If I don't find myself making time to read, I must move on.

This reads like a combination of Jane Austen and Lena Dunham, which results in both some clever moments and in twenty-first century characters who use "why" as an interjection.

I received a copy of this book from First Reads. I like the show Girls and pretty much expected this book to be similar in the plot and characters. I can watch a 30-minute program with unlikeable characters but it is just too much to read an entire novel disliking every character. I had no real interest in how it actually turned out in the end and finished it just to see if anything interesting developed. It was a quick and easy read, so if you need something mindless for the beach this could be an okay choice.

blech. Shallow characters, not well developed. Left not really caring about them or the storyline at all. Or maybe that was the point.
