If you cracked me open and looked into my heart you would find a copy of this book. This book feels like a hug.

While I personally am not a fan for allegorical fantasy discrimination, I have to admit that this is the exception that proves the rule. Every character is perfect and lovable. As someone who wants to foster children one day, this book was extremely touching.

This book is just what I needed! To be perfectly honest, I'm not one for light-hearted books. But this had just the right amount of magic to make it such an easy read. It felt like a pixar movie playing in my brain while reading it. I'm sure I will reread it again at some point and will definitely be recommending it others along the way.
.
I've been reading so many adult fantasy/academic/long series books, it was a breath of fresh air to read a stand alone book with a surprising amount of introspection. Such a delightful book!

"The things we fear the most are often the things we should fear the least. It's irrational, but it's what makes us human. And if we're able to conquer those fears, then there is nothing we're not capable of."

I don't even have words. I was going into this book hoping that it would live up to the hype it has, and it really and truly did.

I loved this book.

The characters are the absolute best. I just want to hug the kids and Arthur and Zoe in so many parts of the book! I laughed out loud, teared up, and even felt angry with the characters. This book is so incredibly important and so well done. Highly recommend.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with myself now that I am done reading it...
