This was a very sweet queer romance, as all of Kelly's are. The main characters are contestants on a cooking reality show, so their budding relationship is complicated by the fact that they're in competition with each other, as well as that either of them could get sent home at any time. I thought the development of their relationship was well done, and I always appreciate Kelly's dual-perspective narratives. My only hesitation is that I have a hard time seeing their relationship last long term; it's clear that they're opposite in many ways, and this is overcome within the story mainly by how much they have the hots for each other. We're left with the hope, though, that they're each learning to communicate better, so perhaps that is enough for a true happily ever after.
