This was cute, but not exceptional. It was easy to read and… easy to forget. I’m not sure exactly what needs to change but I think after One to Watch, I now have really high expectations for books based on “reality shows” even though this one is a cooking show and the other was bachelorette style. It just didn’t really flow very well between the love story and the cooking competition.
Dnf bc my copy got destroyed and I was so mad about that I haven't been able to pick it back up

What a delightful read!
If you're like me - and you enjoy watching cooking and baking shows, devouring every single episode of The Great British Bake Off etc - This is a book for you!
Full with humour and aww-worthy moments, and ticking the sunny vs grumpy trope, this is definitely a rom-com read I'd recommend. Predictable at times, but I guess that's to be expected. Lovely queer representation! Be prepared for a few steamy scenes.
TW: There is some enbyphobia (not sure that transphobia, as mentioned in the book itself, is the proper use for a discrimination against a non-binary character, but I might be wrong? Unless I didn't understand that said character is trans, rather than NB) towards London, one of the two main characters. However, Whenever it does happen it is quickly shut down by their friends and they're truly surrounded by a bunch of great people. Just thought it should be mentioned in case it is a triggering topic for any potential readers.
Really enjoyed it and I think it's well written. Would recommend to any rom-com lovers out there looking for their next summer read! Especially if you want queer relationships to be the main focus!

I loved this book! My workload at uni is getting more intense now so I don’t have the energy or motivation to write, a detailed, properly formatted review…
But just know I loved the story the characters the settings, and London should definitely let Delilah get max the dog

i loved this book so much!
non binary characters arent often seen as main characters in books. usually they are the mcs best friend or something, so to read a book with a non binary main love interest was so refreshing, and the way the author went about it was just perfect.
both mcs are so fun, and amazing for each other. the way dahlia was supportive of london every step of the way was so validating to read, and the way london helped dahlia as she talked about her ex husband and the expectations from her family was heartwarming.
dahlia and london were each other's rocks throughout the whole book, before they were even togther, and i loved it.

I have never seen myself or the people I love so represented in a book.
Perfect book to end this year with.

Love & Other Disasters was absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed the nonbinary rep and all of the other queer representation.
