Very imaginative and definitely ahead of it its time. I was a bit underwhelmed by the ending and the relatively lackluster development of the supporting cast, but it was still an enjoyable read.

Somehow just getting around to this. I really loved the writing style, obviously solid story, an ending that felt appropriate although I did have to sit with it. It definitely left me wanting to continue and see where the story goes (I’m especially interested in a more global perspective of the events taking place in the book), so I’m looking forward to checking out The Testaments.

This book freaked me out when I read it in 1985 but I also, smugly thought we, as a society, were so beyond that. So during the 2016 election campaign I re-read it. Freaked out again, but now feeling scared.
