So, first off, I love Lucinda Berry. She is extremely talented and very very smart. The knowledge she has from her background as a child’s psychologist is meticulously entwined in her writing. But, this book was just… way out of left field. I had lots of moments where I thought “wait, what? That’s random.” I read a review in which someone said that she writes the mind of a child very well due to her background, but not an adult’s mind. I think that applies to this book. So overall, the plot wasn’t it for me, but her writing still made the book tolerable.
