My friend just informed me about this on the train this morning and it's so good. SHort, but incredibly enjoyable. I was really surprised, to be honest, and I had no idea what to expect but I absolutely enjoyed every page. A great little short that's very faithful to the original and so much fun to read.

The fact we got introduced to Minoru for one chapter just for him to get finessed like that at the end. Overall I love death note and I loved this one shot. Especially with how they added present day stuff into it. Plus the nostalgia from seeing old characters.

I thought the ending was too sad at first, but upon reflection it made sense with this world.

Very interesting spin on the Death Note idea, completely different from the original series.
That being said, two things drag it down: Near appearance is near useless (get it?) and the last page seemed a bit unfair.
But overall, very good and the art is sublime.

I just hate that they killed off 'Sangwoo look-alike'. I feel like the Shinigamis cheated because he's too smart to use the Death Note.
