This felt very much like Wattpad, disappointing because cover is stunning and premise had potential.

7/10 - so back in the day i loved “you had me at hola” or the first book in this series, but after reading all of the books i have & now knowing the difference between a good and ok book, this was just average, the story line was average, characters were average, smut was average, but a smidge too early in the book & not really anything special, did i still like the story? yes, also i personally identify as michelle, too engulfed in my career to care about my love life, again a decent story, just nothing special

i enjoyed the first book in the series, you had me at hola, so i was excited to start this one and it was very cute :) and this cover ??? it’s freaking gorgeous!

i absolutely adore second chance AND childhood best friends to lovers trope, so that aspect of the novel was fun to read about. i just felt like things were rushing a bit too much, and that made me like the romance a little less.

another thing i liked was the growth michelle and gabe both went through. not the development of their relationship, but their individual growth that you can see throughout the book, and towards the end.

overall, both characters were different and interesting, and the representation was great! i LOVED their families as well; every time they were mentioned, i got so happy!

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
