Just something a little mind numbing to help clear my brain.

Lots of recipes that look interesting. So-so story line. Basically a cook-book with an story interwoven.

I found a few recipes I liked in this book that I saved for future use. I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

There isn't a whole lot to this book ... very short chapters that each end with various recipes. The story is about Anna, the new Elm Creek Quilters Chef and Sylvia, founder/owner of Elm Creek Quilts/Elm Creek Manor cleaning out the kitchen in preparation for the remodeling job it is about to undergo. As various items are found and packed away, Sylvia shares memories they bring back.

While I enjoy the Elm Creek Quilt series, this wasn't really an addition to it, it was a collection of recipes with a very, very thin plot to hold it together.
All in all, it took about 30 minutes to read.

A quick read, more of a cookbook, has only 2 characters, the main one of Slyvia, who is the owner of Elm Creek Manor and the new cook Anne. they are having the kitchen updated and while clearing out cabinets, find items from previous ancestors and Slyvia tells stories about that person. Her aunts aprons, food her mother cooked, ect.

I've read the whole series to date. This is a short story with recipes. Thing is, it's a terrible short story. NOTHING happens.
