I really liked this audiobook, and the anecdotes were interesting and fun to listen to. BUT, since this isn't a typical memoir the stories are mixed up and not chronological. There are many "missing" pieces that I found myself wishing I knew more about. Maybe that can be found in her other book... Drew also screams and yells throughout the audiobook when she is scared, mad, excited, etc. This can be disarming when listening and is often loud and a bit too much. Otherwise, a good read.
Easy, light read. I can picture Drew telling every story. It's written in her voice which makes it fun and relatable.

I’ve always loved Drew for some reason and this book legit brought tears to my eyes and made me very emotional. Now I’m gonna go watch Charlie’s Angels and 50 First Dates and every movie of hers I haven’t watched.
Drew Barrymore’s stories and quirky voice endear the reader to her almost immediately. Because she isn’t a writer, it’s easier to forgive the child-like quality of her writing. Her stories of her childhood, her dogs, and her experiences in the filmmaking industry kept me listening to the audiobook. She jumped around in her life and shared her fun adventures.
The main reason I didn’t enjoy this book was because I was listening to the audiobook version. Typically, I love an audiobook more if it’s narrated by the author. In this instance, that was not the case. Barrymore yelled too much for my taste. I understand adding emphasis to certain words or phrases, but saying them a bit louder would’ve had a better impact than screaming them. It just happened too often to be forgivable.
Not my favorite memoir written by a celebrity, that’s for sure.

Really enjoyed learning more about this amazing woman. Quite incredible all of the things shes done in life and how much she changed her life around from being an angry teen actress. I was pretty amazed at all the different and unique stories that should told.
