Edmond loves a girl he can never have. Renie loves him back. Together they attempt to prove that love can pull one back from the pits of hell. What happens when it doesn’t work out as planned though?!

I love their relationship. I truly hope so see Roux and Jason get their vamps as well.

This book was so pleasant (weird thing to say about humans signing up to be blood donors to celebrity vampires, right?). It was well-written, easily digestible and the subtle French tints were luxe and romantic. I could’ve used more of the gore, more of the sensuality, more of the drama, but I think that will come in book #2. Edmond and Renie are immature, but in a more endearing way than anything else. I’m not sure I’ll continue the series, but it was a lovely way to spend an October evening.

DNF - too repetitive and very little character development. The writing lacked description of the characters and setting details, and I really couldn’t visualize anything that was being written.

What to say....The fact that this was published by Wattpad books should've been an indication, but I am a true believer that there were some good stories on there however, this was not one of them. This was the most predictable and unrealistic story I might've ever read. To make matters worse this is not a standalone like I originally thought so now I will never know what's gonna happen. Very disappointed, especially because the premise sounded good.

Twilight was what got me into vampire romance, but books like Belle Morte are what keeps me coming back!!

Renie and Edmond are everything Bella and Edward wish they were, although the romance is a bit rushed.

Also some of the mystery kinda fell flat since some things were predictable— but that does not take away from the book. It was an enjoyable read and I’ll still read the sequel once it’s delivered.

I was super intrigued by the synopsis of this book. I will always love vampire romances and the thought of a dark dormitory of glamour for donors got me to pick this one up. I was curious to see how things would play out and what happened to her sister.

I stayed intrigued until this started to get repetitive and drag out. It was always a push and pull between Renie and Edmond and it got tiring. I thought they had good chemistry and kept waiting for them to cross the line completely. However, we weren’t even rewarded with any spice. That was a letdown.

Along with that, once we found out what happened to her sister, the story went even more downhill. Some parts were quite predictable here and so was the ending.

Overall, you can tell it was a debut and it was kind of a letdown. As far as reading the next book that comes out next year, I’m a bit uncertain. I will have to read the synopsis when they release it before I make up my mind.
