Children’s Literature grad class reading

A boy who is not impressed with his plastic Indian toy. But when he puts it in his cupboard and it turns the key the boy gets to enjoy playing with a life a plastic Indian person. I enjoyed this book as a kid.

i read this book when i was in 6th grade (yeah forever ago). i loved it! i re-read it over and over again. i even saw the movie. now i want to read it again....on my way to buy it again!

This was fun to re read with my kids.

I loved this book when I got it. Had the whole series. Had the movie, bothered my parents until they got me the mail-away Little Bear figure. Wrote Lynne Reid Banks a letter to tell her how much I loved her book. She replied, but her letter was mostly to correct spelling and grammar errors in my letter.

My daughter was reluctant at first, but I knew she'd love it! She was a fan after the first chapter, and was completely engaged in Omri's struggle. This is such a neat book.
adventurous funny tense fast-paced

One of my favorite childhood classics. Easy and fun read with intriguing characters. I do hate Patrick, though.

Not recommend, hasn't aged well.
