My favorite story in the collection was the title story, "Everything's Eventual." Some I lost interest in and ended up skimming. This is not one of my favorite Stephen King collections. I enjoyed the author's notes explaining the inspiration for the stories, though they should have come at the end, I think, as some contained partial spoilers.
Some good stories in here (Autopsy Room Four, All That You Love Will Be Carried Away, The Little Sisters of Eluria, Everything's Eventual, Riding the Bullet), but imo the standout is "1408". It's about a writer Mike Enslin who writes about haunted places he has stayed at, but he privately does not believe in the supernatural or paranormal. He then attempts to stay in the haunted room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel, where he only lasts 70 minutes. It's a trip reading about how his mind and the room simultaneously melt.
More short stories by Stephen King. He's not as good at them as he was in the 80s, but they're still definitely worth reading.
