Higashino Keigo is constantly blowing me away with his ability to perfectly unfold every piece of a mystery. It's almost like every sentence is a calculated step and I feel just as thrilled by the mystery itself as I am the way Higashino Keigo tells it. Every time I start one of his mysteries I'm never sure what I'm in for and this story was almost unnerving in that so many details were given and yet in the end I still feel like the I'll never know the answers to all of the questions I have. He writes in a way that shows he trusts his readers to put the pieces together and I appreciate that in all of the works of his that I've read so far. This is a story that is going to be lingering in my mind for a while.
Absolutely brilliant. An enthralling murder mystery.
I guessed almost immediately who committed the initial murder but it wasn't until I got to the last few pages that I discovered the motive. I like the fact that a lot of the book is conjecture - people guessing, creating theories, but there's no real hard evidence. It's all gut feelings and instinct.
Can't wait for his next book.

Too long with you many side characters. Could figure out the twist from the first clue. Too much rape/sexual assault. Too filmy basically
