Ashes of Gold by J. Elle is book 2 from the Wings of Ebony duology. It's a ya urban fantasy and a fun book to read. I want to keep it short because I don't want to spoil anything.

The book picks up right after book one and doesn't miss a beat! It takes place in Ghizoni, the fictional island that the fmc was taken to in book one. The world building was more prevalent in this one, which is what I was missing. There's tons of action, found family and young love! Definitely enjoyed it!

I wanted to like this one bc the first one was AMAZING but it just didn’t hit the same. It felt more all over the place, a little disconnected.
