I'm currently pregnant with our first baby, and I'm pretty anxious about becoming a parent. I found this book comforting. People have all sorts of opinions on what's best for your baby, but it's not always right or wrong.

There are plenty of studies out there, but you should have a healthy skepticism on how they go to their conclusions. For example, women who breastfed children often have smarter children. But studies have shown that more educated women often breastfeed. Isn't there a chance that the environment the baby grew up in enabled them to be smarter, and it's not necessarily the breast milk? It's not arguing that breastfeeding isn't beneficial. But that if you aren't able to breastfeed, your baby can still be as smart.
