Not as helpful as her pregnancy book “expecting better” because there isn’t a lot of data for the questions she explores. So basically the summary of the book is “do what’s best for your family”.

Another informative book by Emily Oster. The chapter on how to breastfeed should be required reading for every mom-to-be. I certainly wish it had existed when I had my daughter since she voices everything I experienced and which the hospital classes don’t tell you. The later chapters in this book were not as helpful as a lot of Expecting Better, but there sadly is not as much science on those topics and therefore she was understandably limited in how much she could really say.
