this was a cute book but i feel like it fell short a little bit and there wasn’t much depth to the love story it just kind of happened with out anything leading up to it.

It's not as Christmassy as the title would suggest, but this was a sweet feel good YA romcom. The enemies to lovers storyline was a bit thin. The drama was more between the two sets of parents. But I especially loved how Chloe found her confidence and really started to believe in herself.

I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Don't let the title fool you. Thanksgiving had a greater presence than Christmas.

I thought this was adorable for a young adult novel. It has themes of young romance, misunderstandings as well as overcoming intrapersonal and interpersonal obstacles. I rated this 3.5 stars just because for me it lacked more romantic moments between the two main characters. Overall , it was a sweet story

Quick Summary: A cute, sweet, serious recipe romance with charm

My Review: The Christmas Clash by Suzanne Park was a sweet treat. This cute YA rom-com was an enemies to friends to first loves story. More than that, it was a story about family, friends, life, tough choices, taking chances, and fighting for what you believe in. It was a charming listening experience.

Worth Mentioning: I absolutely loved the Asian American influence that was incorporated in the story. I also really appreciated how the author wrote about mall culture. It was written with such truth. I kept thinking... I know THAT mall.

My Final Say: The conflicts and dilemmas in this book were so real. It made the story more relatable, more personal. The dynamic that existed between the parents alone was especially interesting.

Rating: 4/5

Audience: YA/T

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Christmas Clash was all kinds of cute if I'm being honest. In it, you will meet Chloe and Peter. They have been rivals since before they were even born. Seriously, it's in their blood. Their families do not get along one bit. It also doesn't help that they have to work within the same food court either. Then again, it also doesn't help me since I love both Korean and Chinese food.

Before the food war can commence, eviction notices are passed out and its bad news for everyone involved. Well, that is until Peter and Chloe come up with an idea to save the family businesses. Now I really liked these two getting along. The modern day of Romeo and Juliet but no one dies. Of course, once they start to like one another drama quickly unfolds. It's all about assuming the worst and not talking about anything. It seriously drove me nuts!

Once they started to talk, though, they eventually realized they really do like one another. On top of that, the finally figured out how the family feud started. I was really happy when that reveal came because it was eating me up! I just wanted to know every little thing before the last chapter came.

In the end, I'm happy that I got the chance to jump into this. One can never go wrong with a Holiday book (in my eyes). Will have to be on the lookout for Suzanne's next book!
