Made me cringe in embarrassment multiple times. That's a positive.

This book was strange in that it was very graphic at moments and discussed tragic events in a nonchalant way at times (through a specific character). However, despite this, I very much enjoyed it. It was written in a way that kept up the momentum the entire time, and the sections being written through different perspectives was done so so so well, sometimes giving different perspectives of the same moment that added so much meaning. Definitely not a light read (I was panicking at times and devastated at others), but written in an easy to consume way. I loved how the diverse characters didn’t seem like forced representation at all: all of the characters’ identities were crucial to the story, and there wasn’t any toxic positivity surrounding the queer characters like there often is. Overall a fascinating read.
