this book really made me feel. i kept picturing rachel and her friend group at brooklyn friends. and that feeling of reading about universal queer high school experiences that we don’t realize are universal in the moment. and a weird, codependent, homoerotic friendship with someone who just isn’t a lesbian. there were times i wanted to throw up because of the cringe and because i was that cringe. reading this one has shown me how much i actively try to not think about my high school experience.

I wanted to start this book over the minute I finished it. I absolutely loved it  - and the narrator of the audiobook is phenomenal.
