Unexpected and captivating. I am definitely left pondering the ending. How we end up and the people we were and knew and growth and change — or lack thereof. Read in about 3 (relatively short) sittings. So really felt like I just jumped in to Eulabee’s experience.

Interesting read with a plot (and twist) I had never considered in a book.
4 1/2 stars. Books with teenage protagonists generally don't appeal to me, but this book was an exception right from the start. Vida's teenagers are simultaneously of their age/culture and universal. I could relate to them with my remembered teenager brain and my present self. This is a perfect book for audio - I have a feeling it's at least as good as the print. Narrator Marin Ireland is pitch perfect. I'm going to hunt up more books by both the author and the narrator.
