Probably a 3.5 stars.
I didn’t always love reading this story, because I get second hand embarrassment pretty bad, and the whole plot is a bunch of getting caught doing shitty things.
I did really love how the epilogue followed up with where these girls went in life, how they loved on, or didn’t move on.
After the extreme angst of the lives of the 13yo girls and how everything seems SO BIG AND DRAMATIC when you’re that age, the epilogue provides that pan-way-out lens where we can see that it’s just snippets in our big huge dynamic life.
I find the beginning a little hard to get into and had to re read a bit, but once I got into this tale of these 13 year old girls, I was hooked.

I’m not sure how to rate this book. It was interesting and compelling, and it seemed to capture the unique weirdness of being a preteen girl. In general, not much actually happened in the book. Usually this is not my type of read because I feel like books with a loping plot tend to be so long. This book was appropriately paced and was the correct length, and I actually found myself continuing to read because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. It was written very well, I thought, and the characters were well developed. So overall I did enjoy it. Wouldn’t read it again but not sorry I read it.
I enjoyed this quick coming of age novel. Good writing and great character development. Loved the ending
I couldn’t put it down. It’s weird, I loved Eulabee and her dark sense of humor, and the writing is on point. The plot moves sort of slow and covers some significant events in an almost nonchalant way.
This book was completely different than what I expected. It was a complex coming of age and ended with me still thinking about it with questions (I like that)

3.5 stars: quick and entertaining read. The plot went a bit off the rails about 2/3 through and a plot point that could have been developed more wasn’t, in favor of a somewhat underwhelming ending. Still, readable and compelling.
Masterful description of the terrible struggle of adolescence. Curious plot choices, but they came together well.
