Really enjoyed it and completely flew through it!! I enjoyed the uniqueness of some of the characters (especially Maria Fabiola) and thought it was quite an original novel. I’m still pretty confused on a few things though, but I’m not sure if that’s to do with my lack of understanding in analysing these scholarly-literary-metaphorical-types of books.

Would recommend!

Pick up "We Run the Tides" and say goodbye to the rest of the day. What starts out as a bildungsroman about girls growing up in 1980s San Francisco builds in complexity and depth page by page. Beautifully done and a terrific read.
