I loved this book so much! I loved it as much as I loved Curse of Shadows and Thorns! I really enjoyed the fact that we had a dual pov, I felt that it really helped to set the story more better for me.
I also enjoyed how it carries on straight from book 1 and went straight into the story. I enjoyed the side characters in this as well as the two main characters, even though at time I would have gladly punched Mattis in the face

Super easy to read and digestible which is exactly what I’m looking for right now.

As usual, men continue to have all the audacity. Thank goodness for women, or nothing would get done. Overall, I enjoyed the sequel, it had a couple more surprises that I didn't suspect until it almost happened, which is an improvement from the first book. I have no clue what to expect from the next book. I love these characters and their secrets!

Reread: loved it a tiny bit less as I knew the plot and characters but still a very lovely book!
How could I not give this book five stars, I devoured it. Skipped well needed studying for it. It was truly wonderful. It caught me in emotion, the way these characters come together, find strength, believe in each other and plot twists unravel. I'm now officially a fantasy girlie, no one can convince me otherwise. I knew it would get good and I'm glad I sticked around. I do have to admit, I want a little more spice, but you can't have everything right? This book does have epic battles and fury though so I don't mind too much :)

The first 50% of the book is basically going 60mph with no brake. It felt like my head was spinning with how much was happening, but ultimately this was enjoyable.
