This is such a binge worthy series. I COULD NOT put it down.

Elise bravery and strength grow through out this book. She is fighting for her people, peace, justice and her love. Whether Valen wants her by his side or not, she will be there fighting along side those who the land truly belongs to.

We get both POVs in this book and it is chefs kiss! Hearing his thoughts and feelings on everything unfolding lets us into who he truly is. We see his struggles, fears and love for Elise. He is not a man who you poke.

This story had more twists that I DID not see coming. I can’t wait to read the next and see how these two take back what is rightfully theirs.

Esta historia me tiene fascinada, me he leído el libro de una sentada y sigo necesitando más.
Quiero saber más del pasado de Valen, quiero entender mejor el final y todo lo que hay detrás de él.
Elise y Valen me tienen cautivada, pero Tor y Halvar no se quedan atrás.
Siempre adoro los libros que tienen grandes secundarios, y este sin duda es uno de ellos.
Además, podemos ir viendo el punto de vista de Elise y el de Valen a lo largo del libro lo que, al menos a mí, me hace conectar mejor con los personajes.

Even though I've read some mixed reviews, I still enjoyed this book. It is the second one in the series, but it is by no means a filler. I was frustrated at times with the MCs relationship but still, it was understandable. It was quick and fast, with lots of action. On the plus side, I really enjoy all of the side characters, it is always a nice touch when they are more than fillers appearing in the background.
