Molly Grant has been working hard climbing the ladder at a prestigious law firm in Manhattan when she decides to take a career turn and join the matrimonial group and become essentially a divorce lawyer. She gets caught up in a case that isn't quite by the books and may jeopardize her full time job and career path; it was fun to read about her get excited about this case even though it may impact her future.

I loved that Molly is a self-sufficient woman who does not need a man and manages to work through many of her problems because she is smart and capable all on her own. It was a refreshing perspective and one that is missing from most chick lit-type books these days. I didn't give it five stars only because there were a couple of parts where the story did not move quickly and, therefore, made it a slower read. It is definitely worth reading, though, and I would recommend it!

I won this book from Goodreads First Reads and I absolutely adored it.
It was impossible to not like Molly. I don't read a lot of 'chick-lit' because the characters tend to all be the same and have the same annoying traits that make me question whether or not I've read this book before. Molly, on the other hand, is smart and self-aware. She isn't perfect, she is realistic.
I definitely recommend this to any former chick-lit lovers out there who have become bored of the genre. The Love Wars just might be for you.

I saw a friend give this novel a good review so I decided to pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it!! While its still technically a chick-lit novel it has a bit more substance to sink your teeth into along with a heroine that you don't want to throttle! Win!!

Definitely add this to your list to read this summer, you won't be sorry.

Giving it 4 stars for the kind of book it is -- easy and light -- not a masterpiece so probably stacked against other books I love, it should be a 3.

It was fine! Part I was boring but important for exposition. The pacing was weird. Not a lot happened then everything happened in 2 pages. A-plot was super interesting! B-plot love story was unconvincing.

I struggle with this one a little bit. Molly is a doormat and weak. I also don't understand how anyone can devote their life to work. You need to have a balance. I would give this 2.5 stars if I could.
