The collection is lighthearted and entertaining. However, I did tire of the sardonic tone that every poem eventually concluded with. While the strength of this collection is its humor, that is also its weakness as it rarely touches on genuine emotion.

The poems contained help us remember that love and life are a universal constant, for better or worse.

Depressed and cynical girlies transcend time. Beautiful yet sad collection of poems. My personal fave Résumé made say “damn.”

A beautiful book of beautiful poetry, Parker has a very distinct voice and a wonderful grasp of rhythm and language. Many of her poems made me chuckle and others took up mental real estate long after I finished them.
