Well for my first Dean Koontz book I was not disappointed. The premise sounded really appealing to me but I was worried it was going to be your typical "thriller" but I was pleasantly suprised.
One of the things I loved the most about this book was how logical and smart Billy was. The fact that he ACTUALLY thought about the fact that his prints would be left all over the placr and etc.. made me so happy. I didn't have to yell at the book that they were an idiot.
I thought I had figured out what was going on (my non-spoiler way of saying this XD) but, last minute, it did a 360 and flipped my thoughts upside down in a very pleasant way.
Overall this was a good quick thriller that had me not wanting to put it down. I enjoyes it quite a bit.

There was a point in the middle where I considered giving up. I'm glad I didn't. Was a very satisfying ending.

This was my first book by this author. I found the concept pretty interesting. There was a little bit of issue I had with the pacing. Some moments were a little slow for my liking especially after the start that threw you into it right away.
There were some very graphic gore descriptions while reading. This didn’t particularly bother me, just wanted to mention it in the review. I didn’t like reading at night, or while I was eating.
The book is told from the PoV of Billy. He wasn’t the most likable character. Putting myself in his shoes I don’t necessarily blame him. The book puts him in a lot of extremely stressful situations. The author did a good job of building the tension throughout the story. While it was predictable in some ways, there still managed to be things that surprised me in the end.
Overall this was a decent read. I definitely would check out this authors other writing.

Excellent fast paced book but a bit creepy! I don't suggest reading it at night :)
